Get to Know
Local Organizations!

The first step to understanding what you can do to help with climate justice in your area is to understand what local efforts already exist, so that you can support what they do or, if you are planning on launching an effort of your own, make sure that your idea has not already been addressed by another organization. We've highlighted a few positions local to the Saratoga area that we believe are doing fantastic climate justice related work!

SoBro Conservancy is a new non-profit with a mission to “conserve vacant urban parcels and transform them into pollinator-friendly green spaces, while educating about how such green spaces strengthen the web of life on which human well-being depends. They can be found right here in the heart of Saratoga Springs, and are focused at the moment on regreening a patch of land at the end of South Broadway. To learn more, visit their website or find our interview with their President and former Skidmore faculty, Tom Denny.
