About Us
We are the Cozy Climate Crew, a group of theater-makers ecstatic to produce eco theater for CCTA 2023!
Nina Renkert

Nina is a Junior at Skidmore College, studying to achieve a B.S. in Theatrical Arts, with a double minor in Spanish and Arts Administration. She is excited that this semester she has had a chance to take Dr. Lisa Jackson-Schebetta’s class, Climate Justice Theater Action, where Nina has explored the intersection of two of her passions: Theater and Climate Justice. Over the pandemic, Nina took a gap year in which she worked as a farm-hand at Lost Ruby Farm where she grew a love for eco-conscious farming and healthy animal care-taking. Today, she is excited about new ways of farming for our future, especially the impacts of native plants and guerilla gardening. Nina is continuously thankful for the opportunity to work her wonderful “pod," Ellery and Max.

Ellery Shea
Ellery is a Junior at Skidmore College in pursuit of a double major in English and Theater, with a minor in Media and Film Studies. Ellery was inspired to take Dr. Lisa Jackson-Schebetta’s course due to her existing interest in dramaturgy, as well as the Introduction to Environmental Science course she took over the summer. Ellery is grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such jubilant and endearing collaborators, learn more about local efforts and guerilla gardening, make puppets, expand her digital dramaturgy skills, and create delightful theater.

Max Weigel
Max is a senior at Skidmore College working towards a BS in Theater. Max was excited to take Dr. Lisa Jackson-Schebetta’s Climate Justice Theater Action class because of his previous class with Dr. Lisa for his freshman seminar, Theatre and Climate Change. Max is concentrating in acting within his major, with credits that include Heddatron (Rick), Eurydice (Man/Child), and The Place That Made You (Bud). He is also interested in directing, which led him to want to direct Selling Baby Prairie for this event! His previous directing credits include The Thugs by Adam Bock, and HR by Eric Coble. Max is excited to work on this event with his incredible pod group, Nina and Ellery.
